Effective Date: 1/16/2026
Welcome to Pitch Commit ("we," "us," "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use our website, mobile app, and services (collectively, the "Service").
1. Who this is for
Pitch Commit helps high school soccer students and their families organize recruiting: build target lists, message coaches, and track progress.
2. The information we collect
We collect information in three main ways: (a) you provide it, (b) it's collected automatically, and (c) it's provided by service providers you use through the Service.
A. Information you provide
- Account information: name, email, password (or authentication token).
- Profile information (optional): graduation year, position(s), height/weight, location, academic info you choose to add, club/high school, links to highlight videos and schedules.
- Recruiting workspace content: saved schools, notes, task lists, outreach history, coach contacts you add, message drafts, attachments/links.
- Support communications: messages you send to support (and any attachments you include).
B. Information collected automatically
- Usage data: pages/screens viewed, clicks, features used, time stamps, and similar activity.
- Device data: device type, operating system, app version, language, IP address (often used to approximate location), and identifiers (as permitted by your device settings).
- Cookies/analytics (web): if you use the website, we may use cookies or similar technologies.
C. Payment information
If you purchase a subscription, payments are processed by Stripe. We receive limited billing information (such as subscription status and transaction IDs), but we do not store your full payment card number. (Your processor handles that.)
D. Google account data (Gmail – optional, Beta)
Connecting your Gmail account is entirely optional and is currently a Beta feature undergoing Google's verification process. If you choose to connect Gmail, we request the gmail.send permission for the sole purpose of sending the recruiting emails you compose and approve to college coaches from your own email address.
- What we access: permission to send email on your behalf, and your Gmail address (to display which account is connected).
- What we do NOT do: we do not read, scan, import, or store the contents of your inbox or existing emails. We do not use your Gmail data for advertising, profiling, training AI/ML models, or selling to third parties.
- What we store: only the OAuth tokens needed to send emails on your behalf, plus a record of the messages you send through the app for your own outreach tracking.
- Revoking access: you can disconnect Gmail at any time from your account Settings, or revoke access directly at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Disconnecting deletes the stored tokens.
Google user data accessed through PitchCommit's Gmail integration is used solely to send emails at the user's direction. We do not read, store, or transfer Google user data to any third-party AI or machine learning service, and Google user data is never used to train AI models.
Pitch Commit's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide and operate the Service (accounts, features, subscriptions).
- Personalize your experience (e.g., saved schools, outreach tracking).
- Send service messages (verification, receipts, product updates, security alerts).
- Provide customer support.
- Improve the Service (analytics, debugging, feature decisions).
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Comply with legal obligations.
4. How we share information
We do not sell personal information.
We may share information with:
- Service providers that help us run the Service (hosting, analytics, customer support tools, payment processing). These providers are authorized to use your info only as needed to provide services to us.
- Legal and safety: if required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect rights/safety/security.
- Business transfers: if we're involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
5. Minors and children's privacy
Our Service is intended for high school recruiting families.
- Under 13: We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we collected it, we will delete it. (If you want to allow under-13 users, you may need COPPA-compliant verifiable parental consent before collecting personal information.)
- Ages 13–17: A parent/guardian should review this policy with the student. By using the Service, you represent that you have permission from a parent/guardian if required by your location.
- Parent/Guardian requests: If you believe a child provided information without appropriate permission, contact us at pitchcommit@gmail.com and we'll take appropriate action.

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise rights, email pitchcommit@gmail.com with subject "California Privacy Request."
8. Data retention
We keep information only as long as necessary to provide the Service and for legitimate business/legal purposes. You may request deletion; some information may be retained where required for legal, tax, security, or dispute-resolution reasons.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
